Financial Highlights

Welcome to The Berkshire Bank. Continuing our long tradition of being "the Bank that puts your interest first," we are pleased to share some of our highlights that took place throughout 2012.

As of December 31, 2012, the assets of The Berkshire Bank were $821 million.  Our net income for 2012 was $13 million.  The Bank continues to be well capitalized, exceeding regulatory requirements for being well capitalized by a wide margin.

During 2012, many enhancements were made. Throughout Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath, the Bank was open, working around the clock to meet our customers needs. Our exceptional staff made all of this possible. The Bank made some key revisions to our business continuity plan based on the experience from Sandy, in order to continue to ensure smooth delivery systems in light of such events. We installed new ATMs in many of our branches to make business transactions even easier for our customers. Recently, an employee in one of our Hudson Valley branches celebrated 25 years of employment with the Bank, and we are proud to have such a dedicated and talented team behind us.

Although 2012 was a continuation of uncertain economic times, The Berkshire Bank continues to prosper and has developed new products to meet the needs of our clients during this time. The Bank held a series of seminars across New York and New Jersey educating senior citizens about elderly financial abuse and identity theft, as the Bank understands the importance of keeping our valued customers well informed. We recognize that nothing is more important than feeling comfortable with where your money is and we will continue to work with our communities to find the right personal and business products and services.

Listed above are just a few ways that The Berkshire Bank continues to meet the needs of our valued customers. The Berkshire Bank is a New York State chartered,  FDIC insured commercial bank with branches in New York City, Orange County, and Sullivan County in New York and Bergen County in New Jersey.
