The Berkshire Bank hits record earnings for the first half of 2008, and celebrates 20 Years of Excellence

This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Berkshire Bank serving the communities of New York City, New Jersey and the Hudson Valley. Founded in the late nineteen eighties on one basic principal, to be the Bank that puts your interest first, and with over one billion dollars in assets, The Berkshire Bank continues to focus on providing highly personalized service and competitive products to its customers.

In the recently published financial results by its holding company for the end of June 2008, The Berkshire Bank is very proud to have achieved excellent results by more than doubling its net income compared to the same period for the prior year.  The Bank is especially proud that this happened during its 20th Year Anniversary.

To celebrate its 20th Year of Excellence, the Bank plans a variety of promotions and special events with the launch of a 20th Year Celebration Certificate of Deposit. During the celebration period, every 20th account opened will receive an additional $20 deposited in their account while every individual who opens an account during this period will automatically be entered into the Bank’s Grand Prize Raffle drawing. Other exciting runner-up prizes are also being offered.

“We have established a reputation as a Bank that offers our customers the expertise and knowledge they need in their daily banking” said Moses Krausz, President and CEO of The Berkshire Bank.  “Community banking to us means providing products, advice and services to help customers achieve their financial goals.  We are excited to celebrate our 20th Year Anniversary and invite customers and the local community to visit their local branch to inquire about our 20th Year Celebration CD, our Grand Prize Raffle and many other great promotions and events” continued Moses Krausz.
