Financial Highlights Welcome to The Berkshire Bank. Continuing our long tradition of being “the Bank that puts your interest first,” we are pleased to announce just some of the exciting changes that took place throughout 2011. As of December 31, 2011 the assets of The Berkshire Bank have grown to $854 Million. Our net income, excluding a one time exceptional income item from an arbitration settlement, exceeded $9 Million. Our bank is very well capitalized as it exceeds regulatory requirements for being well capitalized by a very wide margin. During 2011, many exciting activities took place. Customers who opened a Better Business Checking account were entered to win exciting prizes; the winners at our Brooklyn & Teaneck branches were ecstatic. Our Washington Heights location showed their appreciation for the local artists by opening up their branch for a reception and making gallery space for the local artists to display their work. We had the great privilege of mingling with the Teaneck community at the Teaneck Family Festival. And as always, all of our branches held customer appreciation days. Although 2011 was a continuation of uncertain economic times, The Berkshire Bank continued to prosper and developed new products to meet the needs of our clients during this time, including the competitive Super Power Now Checking Account, which allows our customers to earn interest while still having 24/7 access to their money. Recently, new digital marketing screens were installed in some of our locations, and the Bank hopes to add more over the coming year. Further, the Bank distributed educational brochures about elderly financial abuse, and internet piracy, as the Bank understands the importance of keeping our valued customers well-informed. We understand that nothing is more important then feeling comfortable with where your money is and we will continue to work with our communities to find the right personal or business products & services. We have added new members to our talented and experienced staff and all are excited to have become part of The Berkshire Bank Family. Listed above are just a few ways that The Berkshire Bank continues to grow to meet the needs of our valued customers. The Berkshire Bank is a New York State chartered, FDIC insured commercial bank with branches in New York City, Orange County, and Sullivan County in New York and Bergen County in New Jersey.
