Peter Kopher Solo Art Exhibit at The Berkshire Bank in Goshen

A solo exhibit of photography by Goshen Art League member Peter A. Kopher is on display from June 30 through September 29, 2017 at The Berkshire Bank in Goshen. “I was elated by the excitement the Bank employees exhibited while my fifteen photographs were being installed!” Peter Kopher says.

The photographs are a mix of buildings, abstracts, and landscapes and include out of the ordinary details that many people may not notice. Abstract shapes of shadows and objects, for example, the shadows in sand, steps of a staircase, and wood boards of buildings, form abstract lines and shapes that bring into focus intriguing views of the world. The artworks express the beauty of landscapes as well as the interesting angles and perspectives Kopher notices when searching for a special image.

Kopher describes, “Photography has been defined as ‘drawing with light.’ My preference as a photographer is to recognize these pre-existing drawings, and render them as aesthetically pleasing images.” Kopher enjoys digital photography because of its versatility.

The Berkshire Bank is a generous sponsor of the Goshen Art League, which organizes the exhibits at the venue.
